I've been trying to use RASSI for a lanthanide complex (67 atoms). The active space consists of RAS1 =1 (a ligand doubly occupied orbital), RAS3 = 1 (the ligand antibonding orbital), and RAS2 = 7 (the 7 4f orbitals). For this complex, I am working with Ce(III),thus, NELEC = 3 2 2.
I performed SA-RASSCF over doublet 240 states.
When trying the RASSI calculation, the data from the JOBIPH file is readed correctly. The information is printed correctly after that part, even the spin-free section is correct, but when the spin-orbit section header is printed, the program is not working anymore. I waited for days to start the calculation and nothing is happening.
Do somebody experienced something like this before?

I tried running the calculation with only one processor, and with 8 processors, but I am getting the same result. However, I tried another calculation using SA-CASSCF. The active space consisted of one electron in the seven 4f orbitals. I computed the seven possible doublet states. After this, I used RASSI and it worked perfectly.
