Call for contributions to a new OpenMolcas paper

We are initiating the preparation of a new OpenMolcas manuscript and opening a call to the community.

Three years have passed since the last OpenMolcas publication (https://doi.org/10.1021/acs.jctc.3c00182). Since then, OpenMolcas has further evolved as a community-driven platform for multiconfigurational electronic structure theory and excited-state dynamics.

1. Existing contributions Groups with substantial scientific or technical contributions (method development, implementation, or applications-driven work) are invited to contact the coordination team for inclusion in the manuscript (omit if your group has already been contacted).

2. New contributions (proposal-based) We welcome new ideas extending the OpenMolcas ecosystem. Submissions should include:

• Lead PI name, email, and affiliation

• Contributors and affiliations

• A short (max. 600 words) concept note including title of contribution, scientific motivation, key references and relation/integration to OpenMolcas.

All submissions will be evaluated for feasibility and relevance.

Deadline: 31 May 2026
Feedback: within 4–6 weeks after submission
Target submission of manuscript: Spring 2027
